  • In this 50th year the School of Journalism and Media Studies has established a Fund to assist struggling students who need small grants of money to deal with financial need which hinders them from registering or graduating. The fund falls under Isivivane umbrella, which is a Rhodes University fund to increase funding for bursaries and is a key priority for the institution.Donations can be made online here using this link. To direct your donation to the JMSFiftyFund please select Bursary Isivivane Fund from the drop-down menu and put JMSFiftyFund in the comment box as the reference.
If you would prefer to donate via EFT or debit order, then please click on this link, and use JMSFiftyFund as a reference. While we are most grateful for once-off donations, we are conscious that small monthly donations made by our alumni have an accumulative effect which results in a huge
difference to the lives of our students so please feel free to contribute on a monthly basis via debit or stop order.Donation queries can be emailed to development@ru.ac.za or call 046 603 7499
